Terms of service

These terms apply when you use the postcode service run by Roundstack Innovations Limited ("we", "us"), whether through our WhatsApp number, a business's bot, our dashboard or our API. Our privacy policy is part of these terms.
The service
We turn a location or address into a national digital postcode and check whether a postcode is valid, using the national postcode system run by NIPOST. We try to be accurate, but a code is only as good as the data behind it. A pin gives the exact building if it is registered; a typed address is only approximate. Check important deliveries yourself. We do not guarantee that every building is registered or that the service is always available.
Credits and payments
- Lookups use credits. Checking a code is free, within daily limits.
- You are charged only when a postcode is found. Failed or empty lookups cost nothing.
- Payments are handled by Paystack. Credits are added when Paystack confirms the payment.
- Purchased credits are not refundable except where the law requires, or where we made an error. They have no cash value and do not transfer.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to find, track or harass a person, to collect addresses without people's knowledge, to resell lookups in bulk without our agreement, to overload the service, or for anything unlawful. We may limit or suspend use that breaks these rules.
Businesses
If you connect your own bot or use the API, you are the controller of your customers' personal data and we process it for you. You agree to:
- have a lawful basis for using it and give your customers a clear privacy notice (our bots add a link to ours, and you should add your own);
- keep your API key and bot credentials secret, and tell us promptly if they are exposed;
- respond to your customers' privacy requests, and tell us if you need our help; and
- comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and other laws that apply to you.
You also need your own agreements with Meta (for WhatsApp) or Telegram, and you pay any charges they make.
Accounts
Keep your password and API key safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account from the dashboard at any time; remaining credits are then forfeited.
Our responsibility
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as missed deliveries or lost sales, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending the service
We may suspend or end access if you break these terms. We may change or discontinue features, and will give notice of material changes. Nigerian law governs these terms.
